So you made it to my Bio page – Now I can brag about what a great human being I am for the next 5 minutes 🙂
I won’t bore you with the usual “I’m so passionate about health and fitness and helping people change their lives“ blah blah blah!
I’ve created the NAF (nutrition and fitness) course and it took FUCKING ages! The first 3 days are free and I offer a money back guarantee if you don’t think lives up to your expectations…..
That’s evidence enough that I’m serious about this shit right?
Good – ready to sign up then?
More questions? Jeez….OK read on:
Name: Oliver – but everyone calls me Ollie (NOT Oli, Olle or Olly) It’s OLLIE!!!
Where are you from? I’m originally from Bristol UK, but have been living in London for the last ~7 years. (South west London to be precise) ((Clapham to be even more precise))
How did you come to work in health and fitness? I started my post Uni career working in the Hospitality industry as a concierge in a luxury hotel and taught my own Mixed Martial Arts classes in a local Fitness First gym (Brixton) in my spare time.
After 2 years in the hotel industry I decided to obtain my Personal training qualification as I knew I wanted to transition into the health and fitness industry on a full time basis. Tail coats and highly polished shoes just wasn’t going to cut it for me in the long run.
I made my full time foray into the world of health and fitness working along side an inspirational entrepreneur who had just set up an online fitness business offering live HIIT classes via video conferencing software. What started out as a part time role leading online HIIT sessions quickly turned into a full time role within the business helping to develop social media channels, establish the brand and manage our other online coaches.
Along side this project I also grew a small client base of my own, coaching kick boxing inspired fitness classes. I am extremely proud to say I still coach a lot of these clients to this very day. I like to think it speaks volumes regarding my ability to forge close relationships with my clients…what can I say, I’m a frikkin legend!
Why did you decide to develop the NAF (nutrition and fitness) course:
Originally it was just an online consultancy but I found that the type clients I like to work with (clients who are really ready to make changes) wanted to actually learn and were asking more and more questions. I developed a ton of articles and videos in order to answer all these questions and in the end decided the most logical thing to do was put all these resources together into a structured course. And thus, the NAF course was born.
What do you mean when you say you’re “evidence based”? Coming from a science orientated family I have always held a level of critical thinking and it’s this nature that had me constantly questioning the shite I was reading on social media. Wild detox claims and idea of alkalising your body etc just didn’t sit well with me.
I quickly realised that the industry, particularly the nutrition part, is unbelievably saturated with fads, gimmicks, myths and just utter SHITE. I developed the NAF course because I want to educate people about evidence based nutrition and expose them to the all the bullshit that exists.
Being evidence based simply means the stuff I teach is backed up by science….it’s not a load of dressed up crap I’ve created to make quick sales….unlike 12 meal week meal plans…I DON’T DO MEAL PLANS!
Where did you study nutrition? Mac Nutrition Uni (MNU). This is a strictly evidence based nutrition course that has quickly become the GOLD standard of nutritional qualifications. I am a proud student of MNU and a lot of my application skills and raw evidence based nutritional knowledge comes from studying under Martin and his team.
Favourite people in the industry? Aadam Ali from Physiqonomics who is by far the best long form content creator of evidence based nutrition I have ever come across. His illustrations aren’t bad either. I would say he is my biggest mentor in the industry.
Also James Smith who taught me a lot when I was fresh into the industry. I love his no nonsense style which is something that I try to emulate in my own approach.
Why should I work with you Ollie? Because I’m fucking awesome….
but I’ll give some more reasons…
Listen, I’m not here to give you the hard sell. I HATE sales. Annoyingly it’s kind of important in business but I absolutely refuse to dress up the NAF course with a load of shitty buzzwords.
The NAF course is what it is. It won’t be for everyone, but if any of the following points resonate with you then it might just be a good option for you to try…
-You’re willing to put some effort into learning about nutrition and fitness
-You actually WANT to learn about nutrition and fitness
-You’re sick of following different types of diet with little to no long term success
-You’re confused about all the conflicting shit you hear regarding fitness and nutrition
If you’re looking for someone to provide you with a bunch of generic recipes for 12 weeks click the back button and type “12 week meal plan” into Google. There’s about a million options to choose from.
